The fabric used for Maria’s Vanity swimwear is made of recycled polyester also called Rpet. Rpet is the first step towards recycling from PET* beverage bottles. They become a recyclable material that can be used to produce new fashion fabrics. The fabric has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 50.The fabric is also produced to minimum, with careful placements and cut outs of the pattern to reduce surpluses and deadstock.*PET, or PolyEthylene Terephthalate, is used to package 70% of carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, dilutable drinks and bottled water.
